Last night`s Kenya Motorsports Federation annual awards ceremony was quite a grand affair with personalities from various Motorsport disciplines being awarded for excelling in their fields/categories. Our chairman, Joey Ghose was invited on stage to present some of these awards. On that note and on behalf of the chairman and the board of the EASCR, we would like to congratulate all recipients of their respective awards.

It is with great sadness we learnt of the demise of Ken Block. It was an honour and joy to have him compete in the East African Safari Classic Rally and we were looking forward to his return this year. The Trabant P601 is a small car manufactured in East Germany during the Cold War era. It was not designed for rally racing, but despite this, a team of enthusiasts, Kahlfuss Michael and Bauer Ronald participated in the East African Safari Classic Rally of 2015.
Despite the odds, the Trabant P601 performed surprisingly well in the rally. The team finished the rally, proving that the car could make it with the right team and driver. It was a remarkable achievement for a car that was not designed for rally racing and a testament to the skill and determination of the team.
