The East African Safari Classic Rally, The World’s Greatest Classic Rally, needs no introduction in the rally world. It has previously attracted drivers such as Travis Pastrana in 2011 and most recently Ken Block in 2022. The first classic rally was inaugurated in 2003 to mark the 50th edition of the original Safari Rally better known as the Coronation Safari Rally.

To capture the old spirit and return rallying in East Africa to its original roots, the rally is over 4000 km long with a route passing through Kenya and Tanzania, pitting man and machine against the rigors of Africa. The cars allowed to enter must be built prior to December 1985, thus the name “Classic Rally”. Huge crowds turn out to see the cars and competitors. The rally adores months of media exposure before, during, and well after the event.

We are having two events, December 2022, and December 2023. THE EVENT

We have just concluded two very successful events with both local and international entries. We ran a Mini Classic Rally in Amboseli area which was a 3-day event in November 2021 with 35 entries. The Main Classic Rally was run in February 2022 which started in Naivasha and traversed through 7 counties touching base in Nyaru, Nakuru, Nanyuki, Amboseli, Voi and Watamu over a duration of 9 days, with 50 entries.

During the 2022 main classic event, our rally party consisted of over 1000 people – (this included rally officials, competitors, their teams, family friends, sponsors, spectators, media personnel, volunteers) – and with a scale this big, our event gives a lot of opportunities for yourselves in terms of the market and Kenya’s ever growing tourism and business sector.

No other classic rally in the world captures the adventure and romance of Africa as this event does.

We are running another Mini Classic Rally in the City of the Champions, Eldoret, between the 8th and 11th of December 2022 which is already approved and included in the Kenya National Rally Championship Calendar.

Our Main Classic Rally event will be held in December 2023.

Our format for the 9-day Main Classic rally is as follows; we run 3 competitive stages per day of 200km to 300km and 100km to 200km of transport. Therefore, resulting to approximately 400km to 500km a day and over 4000km in 8 days. Our 5th day is a rest day which we normally select a National Park to be our rest halt. This gives teams the opportunity to thoroughly service their vehicles amongst beautiful landscapes and more so, gives them all (International Teams included) a chance to experience game drives in our beautiful country.
